NET 2.0 Gridview Checkbox

Hello,

I'm testing the "checkbox" in the gridview and it displays OK, but it's always grayed out (see code below). Is there a setting I'm missing that will enable the control or am I coding it wrong? Thanks for you help.

DataTable dt = new DataTable();
DataColumn dc;
dc = new DataColumn("chkbox", Type.GetType("System.Boolean"));
dt.Columns.Add(dc);
object[] dtArray = new object[1];
dtArray[0] = false;
DataRow dr = dt.NewRow();
dr.ItemArray = dtArray;
dt.Rows.Add(dr);
GridView1.DataSource = dt;
GridView1.DataBind();
