Regarding your post, this seems to be more of a javascript issue rather than an Asp .Net related issues, please confirm that and then we can move this thread to the javascipt forum, it that is the case.
Firefox and IE has companitibility issues with javascript. You have to modify the javascript according to the browser being used.
