How can I change IDE-0 to IDE-1

I reformatted my hard drive in windows 98. However, now I can't boot with my
floppy boot disk. I get a messages searching for boot record from IDE-0..OK
and invalid sys disk, replace the disk and hit any key. How can I change my
IDE-0 to IDE-1 so it will accept my boot disk in drive A. I am unable to type
anything, when I hit any key the above message appears and that is as far as
I can go.

You really do need to try a more appropriate group.

If you know what key gets you into the BIOS then just keep your finger on
it while the PC powers up.

Actually, holding the key down will probably result in a keyboard error.
You need to tap the key down about every half second. This way the BIOS
POST routines that check the keyboard don't think the key is stuck down.
Typical keys to use are F1, F2, Esc, Del, F10, F11, and F12, though your
BIOS may use a different keystroke. Try googling your machine for BIOS
access.

Thanks for your help, holding down the F2 key allowed me to get into
BIOS and I can now boot up. The only problem I now have is how can I changr
color mode to 256 in windows 98?
