Problem to get the values in datagrid

I have get the values from the datagrid using the Gridview_Rowcommand event.
But "userid" field is not need to display in gridview .. so i set visible=False on that Field ..


How can get the value of that field for some proceed in my program.
PLz help me.

im getting the values like that Gridview_Rowcommand

text_user.Text = row.Cells(1).Text

text_userdept.Text = row.Cells.Item(2).Text

The column/cell still exists as part of the gridview even though you set the visibility property to false. You can simply get the value of that column/cell by using the Cell[indexnumber].Text as you mentioned. Alternatively, you can set a commandArgument = to userid and retrieve that value in the Row_Command event.
