Custom Repeater (C#)

Hello.

I have created a set of custom controls to spit out XML for a IVVR platform. This all works well; however there are instances I want to loop through an iteration spitting out chucks of XML (same as a repeater loops through spitting out chunks of HTML).

I don't want this custom repeater to insert any XML itself, simply Renderout each child control (including firing off events such as OnRowCreated, etc). My question is how to go about this?

Inheriting directly from the Repeater class seems like overkill but I tried it initially, and while it did render out content, it didn't seem to call each custom control's Render method, rather just the tagName and the object's properties directly.

Alternatively, I should be able to create an object that inherits from CompositeControl with a DataSource and DataBind method and a public property that contains the child controls, yes? Where to from there?
