C# - How to Check if Bit is Set

Hi,

I use an int value as a bitMask and I have to check for each bit in a loop, wether it's set or cleared.

bitMask = 10(int) ->1010(bit)

how can I find out that the first bit is set, the second not ...?

Thanks,

R.

Consider this example:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. byte myint=0x23;
  2. // bit pattern is 0010 0011
  3.
  4. bool firstbit=((myint&0x01)==0x01);
  5. bool secondbit=((myint&0x02)==0x02);
  6. bool thirdbit=((myint&0x04)==0x04);
  7.
Maybe you can find something usefull?
Maybe you could keep using the << and >> to shove the bits and keep checking the same "position" (0x01) to determine a 0 or 1?
