ok, i'm not all that great with vb, but i understand most commands. i'm trying to shutdown my computer with just a simple command, and i'm using:

shell("shutdown -s")

when i do that, all that happens in a second form1 window pops up as if it's ebugging twice

shell() is not a .NET command, pretty sure it's VB command.
Perhaps you should check with the VB forum?
