Webservices speed

Hello,

I am working on a webservice project all in dotnet....

The speed is ok for end users, but for development i am spending alot of
time just waiting for the thing to load (only to then close the app because
ive found the bug), even if I put the service on my local computer its not
snappy...I would have thought that being local it would go lighting fast
regardless of headers...

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to make a development environment work
really fast for webservices?

Thank you for taking the time to read my message
John
