How To Create Excel Report in Asp.net 2003

Hello Friends

I am using asp.net 2003.I have to create a report in excel that shows the data after getting it from oracle tables.Can anyone help me.

I had already tried this code
Dim a As Excel.Application
a = CreateObject("EXCEL.APPLICATION")

Dim book As Excel.Workbook


book = a.Workbooks.Add()

Dim sheet As Excel.Worksheet

sheet = book.Sheets.Add()

sheet.Cells(1, 1) = "Test"
a.Visible = True
but nothing is happening

i only can see the data present in a table but i have to do some modifications with excel cells also like adding heading, put values in cells of column of report etc. so please help me for this.

I suggest you to make a report with a standart reporting tool [like crystal report] and export your report to excel...which will be easy.......you can easily add header and other parameters to your report.......

otherwise you have to manipulate the dataset table........

office automation is not a recomended technique as far I know.......
