Dev versus Prod environments

Hi,

Using :

Visual WEB developer and programming with VB
Connecting to MS SQL server 2000
Reporting with Crystal Report
ASP.NET version 2
IIS version 5.1
Windows XP Professional SP-2

When I publish my WEB site on my development server, it perfectly works. When I publish on my Production server, I obtain HTTP 500. My questions are :

1) Is there a debugging document existing somewhere ?
2) Is there a production deployment process ?
3) How to have logs for me to understand exactly what happens ?
4) Are there some key elements to check ?

Thank you to help me.

Regards,

Pierre
