Version problem with serialiation to xml

1
Hi all,

I use XMLSerializer to serialize my application data to disk and then use XMLSerializer to deserialize the data back to the object when one opens up the data file. The problem comes when the object properties are changed, and I would like to be able to read the old data files.

I could open up the old data file and manipulated it to fit the new object definition, but would like to know what is the best practice on this problem.

Thank you very much in advance!
