Zip File transfer to FTP

I have a Upload Control in asp.net . Through this I upload a ZIP file to the web server.

After which I transfer the same ZIP to FTP. There seems to be no problem in transerfering to FTP. On checking FTP, the ZIP file gets saved and the size remains same.

However, when I tried opening the Zip from FTP or after when downloaded to the local machine, I am getting the following error.

"start of central directory not found; Zip file corrupt
possible cause: file transfer error"
