Migration from ASP to ASP.Net

I am using ASP.Net 2.0 version. In my application now i am trying to include a .inc file written in VB language this file was working fine with the asp version of my application . Now when i am including this file in asp.net it shows the following error.

the code is
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Function StdDate(d)
  2.       StdDate = ""
  3.       If IsDate(d) Then
  4.           If CDate(d) > 0 Then
  5.               StdDate = FormatDateTime(d,vbShortDate)
  6.           End If
  7.       End If
  8.   End Function
  9.
The error is shown in the line 'If CDate(d) > 0 Then' saying 'Operator '>' is not defined for dates and integer'.Thank You for ur help in advance

Well I'm not sure what you're up to with that really oldschool code. But according to MSDN CDate returns an object of Date( DateTime in .NET) so you would wanna do DateTime object comparisons.
What does checking to see if it's greater then zero accomplish? 0 isn't a Date.
Try DateTime.MinValue instead of 0 maybe?

If d is a string like "October 19, 1982" then using:
DateTime.Parse(d) will either return a DateTime object of that Date, or throw an exception (use try/catch). There is also the DateTime.TryParse() function.

Thanks for your immediate reply. this is not my code, this is a part of code in our live project (which is in asp).now i am converting that application into .net.This code is in the .inc file which is needed to be included in a page. So i am not sure why they are checking the date with 0
