DOM to string

I'm writing an XML application in Python using the very fine pxdom. I
seem to be missing the above function - is it not part of the DOM
specification? At the moment, I'm having to use a StringIO object
passed to xml.dom.ext.PrettyPrint. Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Peter

The W3C DOM Level 3 has a Load and Save specification that specifies how
to serialize a DOM node to a string or stream. I have no idea whether
your pxdom supports W3C DOM Level 3 Load and Save.
