C#: Using MSCHRT20.OCX ina C# Winforms application.

Hi,
We need to use MSChart in our winforms application. But i was not able to find MSCHRT20.OCX anywhere in my istalled components. So i downloaded the file from Microsoft site. Is it free to use? Are there any known compatiblity issues with VS 2005?

Thanks for your help.

Praveen.

hi Praveen
Following it the extracted para from msdn

The Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime
The Visual Basic 6.0 runtime is defined as the compiled binary files originally included in the redistribution list for Visual Basic 6.0. These files were marked as distributable in the original Visual Basic 6.0 license. Examples of these files include the Visual Basic 6.0 runtime library (msvbvm60.dll), controls (i.e. msflxgrd.ocx) along with runtime support files for other major functional areas (i.e. MDAC). This is the same set of Visual Basic 6.0 runtime files that shipped as a part of Windows XP. For Windows Vista, key Visual Basic 6.0 runtime files are shipping as a part of the operating system and will be supported for the lifetime of Windows Vista. This lifetime is five years of mainstream support and five years of extended support from the time that Windows Vista ships.
Binaries that do not ship on Windows Vista will follow their planned support lifetime. These files are being tested for compatibility as part of our testing of Visual Basic 6.0 applications running on Windows Vista, but they will need to be deployed by the application setup and will not be supported as part of Windows Vista. The list of runtime files distributed with Vista can be found below.

Thanks a lot. But this extract says that these files are shipped as part of Windows XP. I checked in all XP machines. But was not able to fine. This would suffice for now though.
