[vb.net2005]passing 2 variables from a form to report + calculating sum of a function

4
Hi,
I have the following problem:

I have a Crystal Report with subreport. In every detail line of the subreport (with a field "price") I have to calculate something ("X"), depending on the field "price" and on 2 variables the user enters on a windows form (date and period). These 2 variables are always different and are no part of the table.

In the report footer I have to make the sum of this calculated field.

I understand it's possible to make this "X" in a function in Crystal Reports, but it seems it's not possible to create a sum.

In Access I solved this problem by first creating a new table, and for every record, containing these 2 variables. In this new table was also the field "X" with the calculated results. Then, with this table I created my report. Now it's possible to make a sum of "X".

But I'm using VB.NET now, and I really don't have any idea how to accomplish this... Can anybody help me please?
