End web servcie session from WindowForm

Is there any way to tell a web service session (using cookies) that it's no
longer needed and to end from the client (which will be a Windows Form)?

I thought this would be easy, but short of adding a new method to my web
service that can then all Session.Abort directly, I'm not sure if this is
possbile remotely.

The reason behind this is that the web service requires some state
information (thus the use of cookies). Some of the resources the web service
uses are limited. I don't mind a user that is using the application tying up
resources, but would like to free up the resources as soon as possible once
they no longer need them.

I guess I'll add an EndSession method to my web service for now, and if
anyone has a more "elegant" solution, I'd appreciate hearing about it!

Hemol,

I have never done that, but a webservice is nothing more than a normal
class. Therefore it can have a method to clean up. Why are you not creating
that and call that?
