Importing favorite from XP to new Vista IE 7

Am going nuts - computer crashed & had to buy a new one which is Vista.
Thankfully I had done backups to an external drive. I tried to import my
favorites from the external drive to the new IE - but while I find the file
using the browse feature it is not letting go any further & click Next so
that it imports it. What am i doing wrong?

Help !

Asking in an appropriate Windows Vista group, rather than in this .NET
programming group will get you a lot more help.

To find the group you need:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...D-2224A4FEB3EA

Select your language from the Tree View on the left, then scroll down to
Windows. In
Windows, select Windows Vista and find an applicable group there.
