Connecting to Cisco VPN from Windows Mobile

It looks like one should be able to connect to a Cisco VPN using the native
Mobile 5 IPsec connection option. Alas, I cannot get it to work and web
searches turn up multiple messages where others have had the same problem. I
even found one where the poster mentioned the Cisco 3000 concentrator as not
compatible. We run an ASA-5520 which is (I'm told) an evolvement of the
3000.

I tried a copy of the BlueFire VPN client to make sure the problem wasn't
with the ISP (AT&T/Cingular). The BlueFire client worked like a charm.
That's great but I'm working on an app that will be rolled out to 350 users.
The $79.00 per seat license from BlueFire adds up to a healthy amount.

Is there not a way to create a Cisco VPN client using the .NET framework?
Failing that, is there a development package that doesn't carry a per seat
license fee? I'm new to IPsec and VPN (isn't it obvious) but I'm anxious to
learn more.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

It is a pity that the Microsoft Communitie pages is leading people to the
wrong newsgroups.

This is a software newsgroup. You are probably better of to look in a server
newsgroup.

Cor,

Thank you for your response. I figured because I wanted to create a Cisco
IPsec client using the .NET framework, then dotnet.general would be a
reasonable choice.

I just looked again at the list of MSDN Managed Newsgroups and couldn't seem
to find one that was a better fit.

Perhaps you can tell me specifically which newsgroup you think would be
better.

Hi,

Sorry, it is a mesh in this newsgroup at the moment, because the Microsoft
Webserver point this as the place for General questions.

Probably is the website from Dick Grier a change to find a solution.
