SerialPort class and Terminal Services mapped COM ports.

Hi All,

I have written an application which uses the .NET 2 SerialPort class to send
data to an LCD display device. The idea is to be able to send simple text
data to an RDP client connected display device via a mapped COM port. It
works perfectly on my development system.

When I attempt to test the application on my Terminal Server (Windows 2003
SP2) with the RDP client setup to map the COM ports, it just hangs when
trying to send the data (no errors or anything, just a frozen application
window). As a test, I re-wrote the application in Delphi, and it works fine
when run in Terminal Services, and the data sent to the RDP client display
device is displayed as expected. Is there something special that must be
done with the Serial Port class to get it to work with RDP mapped COM ports?

I am using Visual Studio 2005, and the application is written in C# using
..NET 2.0.
