A company wants to conduct its initial screening test for recruitment using a web based online test. Presently, the test should consist of two parts -- .NET and RDBMS (Questions on SQL Server & Oracle). The system should ask for the name, mobile number and experience level of the candidate. Based on the experience level, it should open a web based wizard with 5 questions having multiple choice answers in each page. There should be navigation buttons to traverse backward and forward through the question pages. There should be a configurable timer which should allow only a limited period of time for a particular test topic (e.g. .NET). The topic test should be automatically submitted on expiry of the timer and the topic be disabled. The timer should be visible to the user. Once a particular test topic is submitted (in the final page) by the candidate, the other test topic (say, RDBMS) should be enabled and the user can take up that test. The questions along with choices and correct answer(s) should be stored in database. The system should be designed in such a way that the business layer is exposed as a web service and the UI layer will consume the service to provide functionality. Finally, the scoring of the user is stored in the database for each topic.


I have not worked on web sevices or 3 tier bfore this . Can somebody please help
