POWER SUPPLY

Hi I purchased a brand new computer 2 years ago. About the last 2 months I
noticed my blue power light wasn't as bright as it use to be, in fact you can
barely see it. I also noticed my fan was making a loud noise and now I don't
hear that either. Its like it isn't getting enough power. I start the
computer up and it allows me to get to my icons but once I go into something
or leave it for 5 mins, the power automatically shuts off and the only way
you can re-start is if you use the reset button and it does the same thing
again. It there something I can do without having to bring it to be service.
I tried restoring the computer and when I do that it starts then shuts off.
I have an win xp
