i m using the following code:

private string RandomString(int size)
{
StringBuilder builder = new StringBuilder();
Random random = new Random();
char ch ;
for(int i=0; i<size; i++)
{
ch = Convert.ToChar(Convert.ToInt32(Math.Floor(26 * random.NextDouble() + 65))) ;
builder.Append(ch);
}
return builder.ToString();
}

now i have made an aspx and wi calll this function many times but everytime it returns the same random string generated......unless i reload the page.why??

change your code from
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Random r = new Random();
to

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Random r = new Random(DateTime.Now.Millisecond);
