Value was either too large or too small for an Int32

Hi,

I am using a TypeDataSet in my code and MySQL as the DB. I want to know if there is any mechanism to put something like a trigger on the TypedDataSet so that while the application is running, I will be able to find out if the value for any particular column bhas exceeded ba particular limit.

For example: I have a typedataset with a table named tempTable. This table has 3 columns, ID(INTEGER), Name(VARCHAR), Rank(INTEGER) where ID is the primary key. If any value in the column Rank exceeds a specified limit, say 50,000, then I want to check if at any time while the application is running, in case the value exceeds this limit, then I want to inform the user.

This is not the actual problem but just a simplified version. In a nutshell I want to know if there can be some trigger or event handlers for this kind of situation.

This table only exists in code?
If it were in say an SQL database I would say you could use "Constraints".
There should be something like this available in the TypedDataSet object?
