ASP.NET PostBack Encoding Problem

Hello,

I've an encoding problem with asp.net 2.0 pages, it only effects to the content of textBox elements. When user press Submit button and page become postback the strings in textBox become strange characters.

Is anybody experienced and solved a similar problem ?

Best Regards

Have you tried checking whether postback occurs? Copy the strange characters and the textbox properties. Thanks.

Maybe you should store the values that are being jumbled into a Session object.

Session.add("name", value)

Then on page_load check if its a postback and if it is, just change the .text property of whatever textbox is messing up:

theTextBox.text = Session("name").toString()

Hope this helps with the encoding issues.

Thanks.. This method solved my problem. But I have two PostBack (2 buttons) in my page. Fisrt one brings the data and the second one create XML. With Session method I can just add jumbled characters to an XML document.

But thanks again...
