Hello all,

I am running an app that needs to run a check on password and username from a database. if password and username correspond to one in database, user gains access but if not, the user is denied access.

the problem is the app accepts all password and username correct or wrong. please what can u suggest?

Welcome to TSDN. Suggests that you are not using a primary key in the database.

What are you using to validate? What does your SQL statement look like?

if you have a table such that:
id | name | password
# | userA | passA
# | userB | passB
(etc)

then grabbing a row where name=<supplied name> and password=<supplied password> should ONLY return rows where they are BOTH equal.
unless you set up your sql statement wrong.
