Implementing bug fixes without complete re-publish

Hi there

I would like to find the best way to resolving the inevitable updates for bug fixes. I have a .NET web application written in VB. Most of the variances will be written in the Global.asax file, and the majority of the applications will be published to web space on our own servers.

Clearly, when a bug is found, we will have to check the code and correct the error for that page, but then how could that easily be transposed to all the sites (and it could be hundreds, even thousands - our target market is just short of 500,000)? Re-publishing each and every site would be a nightmare.

Any advice on how this could be achieved would be very much appreciated. Up to now I've only ever written in house or one off applications...
