Persisting a value between calls

I was wondering if there is a simple way to persist a value between calls to
a Webservice that would yield something similar to a Session variable or
Query string? Specifically, I'm trying to pass a parameter to a Crystal
Report webservice which requires binding during Instantiation. I need set the
value of the string at this time.

You can enable session variables in a web service.
