Convert string / long to date

Hi there...
The application im writing needs to calculate a persons age(as long) by entering the day, month and year into seperate textboxes. I want the application to calculate the age by using DateDiff()..
I get errors, when trying to run application; 'Cannot convert int to date', 'Cannot convert long to date'
Please can anyone help!!

Hi,
Please provide the command you are using. May be you are not converting the text box values to datetime.

DATEDIFF ( datepart , startdate , enddate ) where startdate and enddate are datetime datatype values.

Have a look at the Datediff() below:
