How to use Paging with Response.Write()

Hi, suppose my select statement returns more than one record and I use Response.Write() to write the data retrieved from the database. How do I implement Paging where I can tell how many results per page I want to display? Thank you in advance for your help.

hello there,

are you using sp for data retrieving?
if yes, then you can pass some parameter to sp as the range of records to retrieve.
as for page numbers i hope you must be using label's and all, so depending on the page number retrieve the records giving start record number (page number) and end as start pg no + 10 (if require 10 records per page)

hope this helps you out.

Hello friend,
You can use the dataset with SQlDataadapter. After that you use the for loop for display all the records. and you can manage start position and end position of the records in dataset.

ok bye..
