Databinding in Windows form: updating objects directly

12
I have a form with textboxes that are databound to objects named "Person."

When the user enters the form for the first time, if there is no object in the binding list, an object is created and some default values are applied to the object.

e.g.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. if BindingSource1.count = 0 Then
  2.     Dim person as Person = CType(BindingSource1.addNew(), Person)
  3.     person.Name = "Joe"
  4.     person.Age = "50"
  5. end if
The problem is that the defaults ("Joe" and "50") are not shown in their respective textboxes UNTIL the user enters the form the 2nd time (when the objects are already created).

How can I make the controls update as soon as the underlying values change? Does anybody have any suggestions?
