Backward Compatability from framework 2 to 1.4

3
Hello all,

I am wondering if there is a way to build a solution in vb 2005 express that uses .net framework 2 compatible with the 1.4 framework. I have built a very simple program that I wrapped into a stand alone exe but when trying to run the program the users get the "users must install .net framework 2" error. If I go through the proper channels it will take a massive amount of bureaucracy to get that installed, but I have checked and the systems do already have 1.4 installed.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

There was no 1.4 framework that I knew, but let's say 1.x. The only that I know to avoid this error is to have 2 framework installed or make your application 1.x..

So I'm basically SOL unless I go find VB studio 2003? I wrote a super simple program that will help people at work, there is no way the organization will upgrade just for me.

Thanks for the reply.
