XmlDataSouce and XML written/read by DataTable

Hi there

It is required that some XML data be read by DataTable - this seems to require the xs:element layout :-

<XmlDemo>
<id>0</id>
<Status>Single</Status>
<Lower>0</Lower>
<Upper>8389</Upper>
<Percent>20.40</Percent>
<Amount>0</Amount>
<Less>0</Less>
</XmlDemo>

as opposed to id="0" Status="Single" Lower="0" .....

It seems that the former can be read by DataTable and the latter can't, and the former can't be read by XmlDataSouce but the latter can...

The question I have - is there any way to both retrieve this data from the XML file and write back changes using XmlDataSource and GridView? I know I can bind the GridView to the DataTable DataSource, but that doesn't help with updating the file... Sigh.....
