character color richtextbox

Hello,

I need to look at a string in a richtextbox one character (or space) at a time to determine the color of the character. For example if the user entered “This is my string” I need to know that “This is” is Red and “my” is green and “stri” is red and “ng” is yellow. This string will be sent to a marquee and knowing the color is important in order to insert the proper ASCII character before the color change. Thank you for your help.
