Find GPS Receiver port in vb.net

1
hi,

I want to cycle thru the ports in vb.net 2005 (including USB ) to check if the port is a GPS receiver.

How can i do this?

I assume that I can use System.IO.Ports.SerialPort.GetPortNames() to cycle the ports, but how do i know if it is a GPS Receiver port??

I am trying to find the same information. Have you had any luck finding how to determine if a GPS device is attached to a port?
