IsCrossPagePostBack returns false

hello All,
i am having a form(default.aspx).where i have a textbox and a button.
i have set the button's postbackurl="default2.aspx";

now when i click on the button it takes to default2.aspx page but on the default2.aspx.cs the IsCrossPagePostBack is always false.so i am not able to do further coding like:
TextBox nametextbox;
nametextbox =(TextBox) PreviousPage.FindControl("textbox1");

help!!
