Database Transaction

Hi

Can anyone tell me which one is better maintaining transaction in front (Say C#, VB) end Vs maintaining transaction in Stored Procedure. Please give me some explanation behind your answer.

By what measure would you determine better - faster, reliable, less code... My answer is that it relative to the design created which best suits the end user. Normally you scope the users requirements and provide a best fit to those. If that entails doing it one way this time and another the next, so be it. If you design with the end user in mind, and hopefully they are usually paying the bills, and then (god forbid) test the application with some users - then you are likely to have a great application.
