Goolge Gadget on Webform

I am trying to get a google gadget setup on my website, but they keep disappearing on me. When the page first loads or refreshes it is fine, but if a postback occurs, it goes away. I just have a simple page with the script tag and a button that forces a postback without any code behind.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <html>
  2. <head runat="server">
  3.     <script src="http://gmodules.com/ig/ifr?url=http://www.google.com/ig/modules/
  4. ajaxsearch.xml&amp;up_localResults=0&amp;up_loc=Mountain%20View%2C%20CA&amp;up_disableAddressLookup=0&amp;up_webResults=1&amp;up_videoResults=0&amp;up_blogResults=0&amp;up_initialSearch=&amp;up_color=default&amp;synd=open&amp;w=320&amp;h=55&amp;title=&amp;lang=all&amp;country=ALL&amp;border=%23ffffff%7C3px%2C1px+solid+%23999999&amp;output=js">
  5. </script>
  6. </head>
  7. <body>
  8.     <form id="form1" runat="server">
  9.         <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Button" />
  10.     </form>
  11. </body>
  12. </html>
  13.
I am wondering if there is a way to get the gadget to show up after a postback occurs. Ultimately what I want to do is create a GoogleGadget Webcontrol that goes inside a webpart. I am having no luck in creating this control so far, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
