Returning XMLDocument from Webservice

Hi,
Can we return XMLDocument from webservice? If yes then why I am getting following exception

"Cannot implicitly convert type 'System.Xml.XmlNode' to 'System.Xml.XmlDocument'"

If I test my webservice on Visual Studio in returns fine. But in the actual client I am getting this exception.

This is how I am receiving it

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. XmlDocument testing = new XmlDocument();
  2. ReturnUsersXML getUsers = new ReturnUsersXML();
  3. testing = getUsers.GetUsersByPropertyXML(server,port,DN,LName,
  4.                 ID,IMO,city,state);
What I am doing wrong??

P.S: What attribute should i put in code tag to make it C# code
