Hi Sobriquet,

Welcome to theScripts!
I hope you like it here :)

I've split your question off of the fax article and have moved it to the .NET Forums section. In the future you should not post questions in reply to other people's threads (mainly because your question will get lost this way and you'll be less likely to get help). The Articles section is reserved for "How Tos" and general information. If you have a question please post it in the .NET Forums section (Blue Menu: Forums -> .NET).

Now that your question is in the right place, I'm sure you'll receive more help.

Cheers!

Programs that require specialized hardware (ie: a modem with active line) are not likely to find any free place to host them. Unless you have hardware/pc yourself or have direct access to one through work or the like.

Modems are cheap though. You could look for an external one that say plugs into a USB. That way you don't have any messy hardware installs and could maybe even sneak it onto a work computer or something (although your IT staff will be angry, shhh).
If you have a laptop and an external modem, you could probably plug into any active analog land line (phone line) you can find and test it out.
