Front Page 2003 on a new laptop

I just purchased a new laptop and Microsoft will not allow me to install
FP2003 due to the lmitation on installations from one purchase. I' getting
rid on my old laptop with the version already installed. I cannot transfer
it with out transferrinf the entire harddrive. Will Microsolt allow me to
purchase a partial instead of spending another $200. for something I already
purchased?

curious... please answer as im trying to find out where the confusion is
coming from:

this newsgroup is named DOTNET because it for programming in the .NET
languages. where did you find it and what made you think to post here?

I can answer that question, as I see many misdirected posts daily, all
coming from posters who use the web interface.
It comes from not making a real effort to locate an appropriate group by
expanding the tree view on the left of the interface:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities...D-2224A4FEB3EA

If the OP had expanded the English category, then found the Office and
Desktop Applications subcategory, we never would have seen the post here :)

You did not get the original poster to answer. Are you certain you are
correct? There are far too many mistakes in this one group only.

Yes, I do see the original post from "Wayne".
He posted from discussions.microsoft.com, just as you did. This group just
happens to be the first one posters find with "general" in the name, thus
catches a lot of misdirected posts.
