Problems with accessing INTERNET w/WINXP

I have WINDOWS XP and wireless broadband. The last several days I cannot
log onto the INTERNET. I get an error msg about not finding my IP address and
contact my computer admin. But everything else says I am OK, I have INTERNET
connection, my IP address shows in all the connection information I can find,
everything seems to work except I can't connect to the web. I did use a
clean-up files program resently and may have deleted a file I need for this
process, but I have no idea what file or how to find it or check about it. I
would appreciate any help in this matter. Thanks

You'll need to post to a newsgroup with "windows" in the name.
This is a "dotnet" developers newsgroup that people who develop software in
Microsoft technologies use.
