help me with C# codings

hi..i'm jiaudheen. i'm a entry level software employee. i'm new to .net environment. i work on Visual Studio2005. ASP.net as front end. Sql 2000 as back end. C# as code behind.

the task is..i have a dropdown list out side a datagrid. many company names are bound to it. each company has some information in the database.

when i select a comapny from the dropdown and click enter key, the datagrid should display the information of the company selected.

i have the sql query result as ....
month, date, no.of transaction. three difeerent colums and each colums have certain values.

i need to display this result in the datgrid as follows

date 1 to 31------->columwise
month jan to pressent month--->rowwise
no. transaction filled in the cells coressponding to month and date..

pls help me with detail C# codings..since i'm new to this field.
