No color on my Z22 Lexmark

Recently we switched out our tower and printer, the old tower was an
e-machine(T1800) with an ME platform. Since we have Cox high speed internet
we had to upgrade our software to Windows XP. We also swithched out the
printer at that time to a Lexmark Z22. To make a long story short the printer
will print text in black & white just fine but the the color doesn't print at
all. When I go to Properties under Pinters & Faxes and then to Preferences
under the General Tab, to Advanced and look under Graphics ... under Print
Quality the DPI which displays 600 X 600 dpi is all grayed out. I've tried
going into Drivers and deleted the Lexmark Z22 driver so I could reinstall
another driver but I always get a msg. saying the driver cannot be deleted
because it is currently in use. I suspect that I have a corruped driver file,
because at 1 point a Windows 95 driver was installed; even though it is not
listed in the list of drivers in the Drivers Window. What can be done?
