Text Box problem

Hi i am new ot .net, however i am supporting a program written in .net.

the problem is when a user type in their ID number in a textbox to log n to the app, a little box keeps appareing with the history of ids. This is not very secure if some one was using a pulic computer so how can i stop that from happening. I have opened up a new project with a tet box, label and button, everytime the button is click it is displying what the user wrote in the text box, how ever its history is still appearing. I have tried to deleted, cookies, and clear my history in the browser, but it still appears, any help would be much appretiated

Thanks in advance

I believe this is a browser based property that is turned at the browser.

Hi....
U can solve ur problem by setting the textbox's autocomplete property to 'disabled'.

If this is a webbased application, that is the autocomplete function of the browser and falls under the user policy for individual computers.
(Unles they did some crazy behind the scenes overkill javascript for it, which I doubt)
Although I believe certain Google addons will also cause this effect.
