My system is XP Home Edition SP2. I don't know the version of OE 6 that I
have currently, but I receive automatic updates, the most recent OE 6 update
about a week ago. Tonight, I tried to send several file attachments with an
email that were scanned Word files that had been converted to Photoshop files
during the scanning process.. Once I realized that OE 6 only handles files,
not folders, I sent 35 file attachments. What's happened is that the email
is permanently stuck in the outbox, with the sending mail icon permanently on
display. I have done a full system scan with Windows Defender, and no harmful
software has been found. What can I do to fix the stuck email? When I go
into OE 6 now, the program runs very slowly. Earlier tonight when this
problem began, it was affecting every program on my computer, but after I ran
the scan, my computer returned to normal functioning, except for OE 6. Is it
time to call the Nerd Squad? Is this a hardware problem? Does my RAM have
anything to do with it? I currently have 512 MB RAM. Any thought-through
suggestions are welcomed.
