Hello try this:

System.IO.File.OpenRead(@"C:\file.exe");
//Or
System.IO.File.Open(@"C:\file.exe", FileMode.Open);

You will want to launch the program not open it for reading.

Try:

System.Diagnostics.Process.Start("c:\\myfile.exe", "");
 

Where the first parameter is the full path to the exe and the 2nd parameter is any arguments you want to send to the process.

For even greater control, investigate the Process and ProcessStartInfo objects.
