update one file using merging on two files

Hi

i got this assignment, is there anybody who can help me??

Write a C# program that can update the balance of a list of bank accounts. The balances
are stored in a text file ”Balances.txt” with one account in each line.

The format of a line is: < account number > < balance >.
The file ”Balances.txt” is sorted ascending by account number.

The transactions to the bank accounts are stored in a text file ”Trans.txt” with one
transaction in each line.
The format of a line is: < account number > < amount >.

The file ”Trans.txt” is sorted ascending by account number.

The update is done by merging the two files

Yours faithfully
The student
