Casting Problem

Hello all,

I am having a problem casting.

I created a class

public class clientContext : ActiveDirectoryMembershipUser
{
//my Extensions to ActiveDirectoryMembershipUser

}

The ActiveDirectoryMembershipUser is defined as

public class ActiveDirectoryMembershipUser : MemebrshipUser
{

}

later I want to use my class

clientContext ctx = null;

MembershipUser user = Membership.GetUser(txtUID.Text);

ctx = (clientContext)user;

does anyone have any idea why I can't cast my user to clientContext event though they both have the same base?
