ValidationExpression for RegularExpression

Hi, this is CNU ,can any body let me know what is the validationexpression for following criteria
my text should contain At least one digit,6 to 12 chars and underscore
i gave like
(\w*[\d]+\w*)
but it is not checking range 6-12 chars
help me out

i got exact what i want

((?!^[0-9]*$)(?!^[a-zA-Z]*$)^([a-zA-Z0-9]{6,12})$
atleast one digit
atleast one letter with underscore
length 6 to 12 char
